Sandra Bullock to present the Life Achievement Award to Betty White for over 6 decades of work http://ow.ly/ZOky #sagawards.

When announcing the award, president Alan Rosenberg said: “Betty White has entertained audiences with her impeccable comic timing and remarkable wit for more than 60 years. Her life-long devotion to the welfare of animals, manifest in her work as an author, producer and philanthropist, is further evidence of her tremendous humanity.” Betty White, now 88, a 6-time Emmy award winner, can now add Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement honoree to her list of accomplishments. She has been the First Lady of Game Shows, the Happy Homemaker, a Golden Girl, and a friend to all creatures, great and small. Sandra Bullock, a SAG award nominee for the Blind Side, did so with honor and humor.  Betty White was thrilled to hear that Bullock did the honors.  “Isn’t it dear for her to agree to do that when it is a special night for herself? I pray that she wins and feel confident that she will. I’m a big campaigner for Sandy.” She spoke of her two passions in her acceptance speech, acting and animals, adding that she might have more than two passions, but “That is none of your business,” in true Betty White humor.
